Ajloun Cable Car: A Beautiful Experience in Northern Jordan
The Ajloun Cable Car opened in northern Jordan next to Ajloun Castle, high in the green mountains. It offers stunning panoramic views and a peaceful atmosphere away from the noise of other cities, making it a favorite spot for locals and tourists.
At the cable car site, you will find various attractions beyond just the ride. There are play areas for children, music concerts, restaurants, cafes, shopping centers, and public facilities. You can also enjoy art and painting activities. On public holidays, many locals visit, especially in winter. However, the cable car may close during storms due to cold weather, but it is beautiful in summer.
Routes and Activities
The journey begins from Al-Bayr Al-Arabi, passing through Wadi Nahla and Wadi Al-Jab. You will have the chance to explore Roman archaeological sites that reflect the area’s history. The route is about 7 kilometers long and features oak, maple, hawthorn, and cypress trees, creating a vibrant and beautiful forest.
The trail varies in difficulty, from easy to moderate, making it suitable for climbers. The cost is only 12 Jordanian dinars, and a guide will accompany you throughout the journey. Transportation is provided, along with a pleasant break to enjoy tea and take in the stunning views. The entire trip lasts about four hours, allowing participants to appreciate the beautiful scenery and explore the unique natural and cultural treasures of the area. A minimum of 5 people is needed to start the trail.

- Cable Car: 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- Ajloun Resort: 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM
- Summer Season (May – October):
- Cable Car: 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- Ajloun Resort: 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM
The cable car is closed every Tuesday at the start of each month.
