More Flights to Jordan: New Agreements with Ryanair and Wizz Air

The Jordan Tourism Board has announced new agreements with Ryanair and Wizz Air to increase direct flights to Jordan, starting in April. This will improve air connectivity between Jordan and Europe, helping boost tourism in the country.

According to the Tourism Board’s director, Abdelrazzaq Arabiyat, Ryanair will operate 27 flights per week to Amman from 14 major European cities like Milan, Paris, Madrid, Rome, Vienna, Budapest, and Brussels. These flights are expected to bring around 125,000 tourists between April and October.

Meanwhile, Wizz Air is expanding its operations with six direct routes to Amman from London, Abu Dhabi, Budapest, Rome, Milan, and Vienna. Additionally, it will operate three direct flights to Aqaba from Warsaw, Bucharest, and Katowice, with plans to add two more routes to Aqaba this year. Wizz Air expects to bring 145,000 passengers annually to Jordan.

Arabiyat highlighted that these agreements are a big step for tourism and aviation in Jordan, making it easier and more affordable for European travelers to visit. He also emphasized that more flight connections mean more tourists, higher hotel occupancy, and growth for local businesses like restaurants, transport, and tour services.

The Tourism Board is actively working to increase direct flights from Europe as part of its long-term plan to attract more visitors. “This is not just about new routes,” Arabiyat said. “It is a strategic move to position Jordan as a key destination in the region.”

With these developments, Jordan continues to strengthen its global tourism presence, offering visitors a unique mix of history, culture, and nature. The Tourism Board is committed to expanding flight options and enhancing travel experiences for international tourists.
