JICA and Jordanian Inbound Tourism Association Forge Tourism Partnership in Petra

In a landmark development for Jordan’s tourism industry, the Jordanian Inbound Tourism Association (JITA) and the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) have inked a strategic cooperation agreement. The pact is geared towards organizing captivating local and international excursions to explore the enchanting tourist attractions meticulously developed by the Japanese agency within the Petra Development Zone.

In a press statement issued by the association, the primary objective of this collaboration, signed at JITA’s headquarters, is to fortify the bonds between Japan and Jordan in the realm of tourism.

Awni Kawar, Vice President of JITA, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This agreement opens up an exclusive opportunity for tourists to immerse themselves in the wonders created by JICA in our region.
