The mountains and desert of Wadi Rum look like the mountains of Mars. In fact, a movie about Mars was filmed here by the director Ridley Scott. The movie is called The Martian, and many other films were also shot here.

Travelers and adventure lovers enjoy many activities in Wadi Rum, such as Jeep tours during sunrise or sunset, hot air balloon rides, and camel rides. In Wadi Rum, you can experience the traditional Bedouin life of the Jordanian people. You can spend a night in the camps of Wadi Rum, where you will see the beautiful stars at night and enjoy a Bedouin dinner, called Zarb, along with Bedouin music and parties.

Don’t waste your morning by sleeping! You should wake up at sunrise to see the sun reflecting on the golden sands. Many people love to ride camels at sunrise to feel like a real Jordanian Bedouin.

What makes the Bedouins special is that they speak many languages due to the large number of tourists visiting Wadi Rum. There are two main areas in Wadi Rum: Disi and The Village. You will find camps in both places, but when you arrive at Wadi Rum, you should go to The Village first. Here, you will find the Visitor Center, where you buy your entrance ticket for 7 Jordanian Dinars. Then, you can go to your camp or take a Jeep tour from the Visitor Center.

Remember, you cannot drive a normal car in the desert. You need a 4×4 Jeep
