JITOA 15-Operator Promo Trip

Jitoa

The Jordan Inbound Tour Operators Association (JITOA), in partnership with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), orchestrated a promotional journey for 15 JITOA members. This expedition aligns with the JICA-backed Petra City Development Program, conducted in tandem with the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA). The program aims to champion and elevate regional tourism experiences while upholding sustainability and quality standards, as outlined in a JITOA statement released on Tuesday.

The tour unfolds as a distinctive opportunity for diverse tourism encounters, featuring a spectrum of activities and events meticulously crafted in collaboration with JICA. The overarching goal is to refine and broaden tourism experiences in Petra. The initiative strives to raise awareness about the unique cultural and environmental assets of the Rose City, diversify available activities to prolong tourists’ stays, and showcase local tourism offerings that contribute culturally and economically to the community.

JITOA emphasizes that this exploratory journey signifies an ongoing commitment to enhance international tourism cooperation and fortify cultural and economic ties between Jordan and Japan.

Over the course of the three-day tour, participants engaged in seven local experiences, encompassing visits to pivotal archaeological and cultural sites, along with interactions with various local associations.
